About the Artist Humberto Perez.

He is a graduate of Princeton University, Visual Arts Department.

In his paintings, the artist incorporates the hexagon as a symbol of organic chemistry and the benzene ring. The benzene ring has six carbon atoms and it forms the backbone of many important biological molecules, including the building blocks of DNA.

Also, he incorporate motifs from the pre-Columbian cultures to honor his heritage.

The pre-Columbian cultures often used geometric patterns in their art to represent the cycles of life, and the natural world. So, using these motifs alongside the hexagon in his paintings could be seen as connecting ancient wisdom with the fundamental structures of life.
